Retearn is the hardware R&D arm of Recykal, India's leading waste management platform. Two live DRS deployments, 6 million containers collected, 9 patents, and a city running on our machines from day one.
Retearn did not begin as a hardware startup with a recycling thesis. It began as a question inside Recykal: why does infrastructure always fail at the point of collection? Recykal had already built India's most connected digital waste ecosystem. The missing piece was physical: machines that could operate at real-world density without constant intervention.
Three years of field data, two live deployments, and a Bhutan city-wide DRS running at 12,000 collections a day later: the answer is the Reklaim range.
Recykal operates India's largest digital waste management platform, connecting producers, recyclers, and collectors across 28 states. Retearn is its hardware R&D arm, purpose-built to close the collection gap.
Two deployments in Bhutan give us something most competitors do not have: real numbers from a real operating DRS. Not a pilot. Not a proof of concept. A city running on our machines, every day.
These are engineering decisions shaped by watching real deployment failures, before we wrote a single line of product code.
Three independent bodies have recognised the Reklaim platform for doing something most hardware awards do not reward: operating at scale, in the real world, from day one.
