Retearn Technologies Private Limited ("Retearn", "we", "us", "our") is the data controller for personal information collected through this website and our enquiry forms.
We operate in the UK under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, and in the EU under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) (Regulation 2016/679). Where this policy refers to "GDPR" it covers both regimes unless stated otherwise.

2. What personal data we collect
We collect only the data you provide directly through our enquiry forms:

We do not collect sensitive personal data (special category data under GDPR Article 9), payment card data, or government-issued ID numbers.
We may also collect limited technical data automatically (IP address, browser type, page visited) via standard server logs. This data is not linked to your identity and is used solely for security and performance purposes.
3. How we use your data
We use your data for the following purposes:
- Responding to your enquiry about Reklaim Reverse Vending Machines and the UK Deposit Return Scheme
- Sending you an earnings estimate relevant to your store
- Booking and confirming a free consultation or demonstration
- Sending occasional relevant product updates or DRS policy news (only where you have consented)
- Improving our website and forms based on aggregated, anonymised analytics
We will not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

6. How long we keep your data
We retain enquiry data for 24 months from the date of submission, or until you withdraw consent, whichever is sooner. After this period, records are deleted or anonymised.
Where a commercial relationship is established following your enquiry, we may retain data for a longer period as required by applicable accounting, tax, or contract law.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the following rights. These are not absolute and may be subject to exemptions, but we will respond to every request within one calendar month.

- Right to rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data (Article 16)
- Right to erasure — request deletion of your data in certain circumstances ("right to be forgotten", Article 17)

- Right to withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting prior processing (Article 7(3))
- Right to lodge a complaint — with a supervisory authority (see below)

EU residents may complain to the supervisory authority in their EU member state of habitual residence.
9. International data transfers
Our primary business operations are based in India. Where your data is transferred outside the UK or EEA (for example, to Retearn's parent entity Recykal, or to Google's infrastructure), we ensure an appropriate safeguard is in place, such as:
- UK adequacy regulations or EU adequacy decisions
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the ICO or European Commission

10. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. These include access controls on data storage, use of HTTPS, and limiting data access to authorised personnel only.

11. Children
This website is directed at business owners and is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data through our site, please contact us so we can delete it promptly.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated via email where we hold your contact details.
